Voya is included in the 2022 Bloomberg Gender Equality Index and scores 100% on the Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2022 Corporate Equality Index | national
NEW YORK–(BUSINESS WIRE)–January 27, 2022–
Voya Financial, Inc. (NYSE: VOYA), announced that it has been included in the 2022 Bloomberg Gender Equality Index (GEI) for the seventh consecutive year and received a perfect score of 100% on the 2022 Business Equality Index (CEI) for the 17th consecutive year.
The Bloomberg GEI measures gender equality across five pillars: female leadership and talent pipeline; equal pay and pay parity between men and women; inclusive culture; anti-sexual harassment policies; and pro-women brand. Making this list is an honor given to companies around the world that demonstrate their commitment to equality and the advancement of women in the workplace.
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s IEC is the nation’s first survey and benchmarking report measuring corporate policies and practices related to workplace equality for lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer/questioning (LGBTQ). Voya joins the ranks of more than 840 top US companies that also achieved top marks this year.
“We are honored to be recognized for our diversity, equity and inclusion efforts,” said Kevin Silva, Executive Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer of Voya. “Our people are at the heart of our organization and the reason why Voya is a different kind of company.”
Voya submitted responses to a social survey created by Bloomberg, in collaboration with subject matter experts around the world. Those included in this year’s index have met or exceeded an aggregate threshold established by Bloomberg to reflect disclosure and achievement or adoption of the best statistics and policies.
The Human Rights Campaign Foundation’s 2022 IEC results show how 1,271 U.S.-based companies promote LGBTQ+-friendly labor policies in the United States, and how 56% of IEC-rated companies with global operations contribute to advancing LGBTQ+ inclusion in overseas workplaces. Voya’s efforts to meet all of the IEC criteria earned it a 100% rating and designation as one of the Best Workplaces for LGBTQ+ Equality.
