Standard Chartered Sri Lanka has been certified to the second highest level of the Economic Dividends for Gender Equality (EDGE) Three Tier Certification – “Move: Showcasing Progress”, marking a first for Sri Lanka. The Bank’s EDGE certification, the process of which was supported by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) as part of the IFC-DFAT Women in Work program, recognizes its strategic commitment to creating an equal workplace that benefits employees. , customers and partners.

Launched at the World Economic Forum (WEF) in 2011, EDGE is the leading global assessment methodology and business certification standard for assessing business commitment to gender equality. Backed by IFC, an accredited EDGE certification partner, Standard Chartered Bank’s performance in gender equality in the workplace has been assessed and assessed against global and industry benchmarks. This certification recognizes that the Bank’s people, diversity and inclusion strategy is a strong and effective institutional framework of policies and practices that showcase progress in equal representation, pay equity and fair career flows.
