CFL ALERT: One Person, One Vote in Historic Palestine
We have reached a point of no return in Palestine. The apartheid wall
continues to grow, and will continue to grow, along its evil route. Many
erudite writers and political pundits now realize that the wall will act to
destroy Israel rather than protect it from any anti-occupation activities.
It is clear that the wall has destroyed any hope for a two-state solution. So
what now? The land of Palestine is indivisible. The Holy land belongs
to Muslims, Christians and Jews without prejudice. Once we realize this, we
are on our way to peace.
The call for a one-state solution with each person having an equal vote has
become the de facto solution to the occupation. We call on each one of you to
spread the message of a one-state solution in which each Christian, Muslim and
Jew will have an equal say in what happens in their country and
in their home. Join us in calling for a just peace.

Talking points
*A true democracy respects the rights of each citizen equally. Historic
Palestine now has 6 million Jews and over 5 million original Palestinian
inhabitants (with many million more living along the borders as refugees).
*Israel has separate laws for Jews and non-Jews. How can we justify our
support for such a racist agenda?
*Israeli hegemony continues to threaten U.S. security and U.S. policy in the
Middle East. It is time to separate our support for Israel from our political
reality in Washington. The Israeli lobbyists in D.C. have hindered Mideast
policy for far too long.
*Sharon has been the strongest supporter of settlements in Palestine. Congress
should issue a vote declaring the settlements illegal and a major
impediment to peace.
*One man, One woman, One Vote. Spread this message far and wide. Write to
congress, call in to radio shows and debate this point on campus. Is
democracy really what we want? If so, give each citizen of historic Palestine
an equal vote.
