CFL ALERT: ISRAELI ATTACKS ON NABLUS ARE AN AFFRONT TO HUMAN RIGHTS AND INTERNATIONAL LAW.

Last weeks IOF attacks against Palestinians in Nablus must be condemned by the U.S. for what they were: an affront to humanity. The U.S. must demand that Israel stop flouting humanitarian and international law.

It is time for freedom-loving democracies around the world to clearly denounce the mayhem being perpetrated by the Israeli Occupation Forces.

TALKING POINTS:

* In a reckless and savage display of military might, the Israelis blew up a seven-story apartment building in their quest for a single Hamas activist
who did not even reside in the building. Hundreds of Palestinians were left homeless. Demand that your Representatives speak out against Israel's reckless disregard for human rights and international law.

* Early on Friday, Secretary of State Colin Powell said that Washington would work harder toward resolving the impasse between Palestinians and
Israelis.  However, because the U.S. failed to support Prime Minister Mahoud Abbas, he resigned. The U.S. can help the situation by throwing their
support behind Ahmad  Qurie and by demanding that Israel immediately halt brutal attacks like the one in Nablus.

* While Palestinian civilians were being terrorized in Nablus last week by the IOF, Hamas officials were meeting in Cairo to discuss the implementation
of a new truce. Israel's strikes were meant to kill any possibility of a Hamas-led truce and Israel has suceeded. Ask your Reps why they endlessly
allow Israel to sabotage any and all peace efforts. As long as the U.S. supplies Israel with over $12 billion in welfare a year, this government has
an obligation to question Israel's racist and violent policies against the Palestinians.

* Tell your Reps that you resent the role the U.S. is playing in the continued subjugation and humiliation of the Palestinian people. Remind them that their sordid relationship with Israel will be remembered on Election Day.
