CFL ALERT: UNFETTERED SUPPORT FOR ISRAEL PUTS AMERICANS AT RISK.
Contact your representatives regarding the final report of the 9/11 Commission
which states that some of the terrorists involved in the 9/11 attacks, in
particular Khalid Shaikh Mohammed, were motivated by their disagreement over
American support for Israel. Tell your representatives that you expect them to
put American interests above Israeli interests and that the security goals of
this country come before Israel's desire to occupy Palestine.
TALKING POINTS
* With the help of the U.S. Congress and Senate, the United States has
succeeded in isolating itself throughout the world because of our illogical,
one-sided support of Israeli crimes. We have condemned the United Nations, The
International Court of Justice, the European Union and every single other body
that has spoken out against Israeli crimes. We stated repeatedly that the U.S.
will back every Israeli crime, no matter how heinous while the rest of the
world looks on aghast. Ask your representatives why they are risking American
lives by supporting Israeli war crimes? Ask your representatives to clearly
identify how their support of Israel brings you domestic security. Tell your
representatives that you resent that American lives are in danger because of
this government's sordid relationship with Israeli interest groups.
*Tell your representatives that this country cannot claim moral high ground
anywhere in the world, nor can we claim that we support democracy and freedom
as long as we support the tyrannical policies of Israel against the
Palestinians. Tell your representatives that democracy and freedom are an
anathema to everything that Israel stands for and that you resent that your
hard-earned tax dollars are being sent to a nation bent on violating
international law and carrying out a protracted holocaust against the
Palestinian nation.
* Remind your representatives that Israelis have killed well over 3000
Palestinians since September 2000; the majority were innocent civilians and
children. Remind your elected officials that condemning suicide attacks while
ignoring Israeli violence against Palestinian men, women and children is not
helpful and does not promote peace in the region. It is time for this
government to stop acting as though Palestinian suicide bombings occur in a
vacuum independent of Israeli actions—especially when those actions are
drawing the ire of Muslims worldwide and offering incentives to terrorists who
want to attack Americans.
