CFL ALERT: INTERNATIONAL LAW AFFIRMS THE PALESTINIAN RIGHT OF RETURN. OPPOSE
THE SANTORUM-NADLER RESOLUTION!
Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum and New York Congressman Jerry Nadler will
introduce a resolution to support the Jewish right of return to Arab land;
this resolution will make no mention of the rights of millions of Palestinians
currently living in refugee camps throughout the world and their
internationally recognized right of return to their homes.
TALKING POINTS
*United Nations Security Council Resolution 3236 affirms the inalienable right
of the Palestinians to return to their homes and property from which they were
illegally displaced and uprooted by the Israeli Occupation Forces. Tell your
representatives in the Senate and the House that calling for Jewish
compensation is ridiculous in light of the fact that Palestinians are still
being illegally uprooted from their homes while millions are suffering in
refugee camps with little hope.
*Remind your representatives that it is unethical to ignore the plight of
Palestinian refugees. Tell your representatives that this government should
not continue abetting Israeli crimes by allowing Israel to disregard UN
Resolution 3236. This resolution will require Israeli mouthpieces in the House
and Senate to demand “compensation” for Jews that lived in Arab countries
anytime the issue of Palestinian refugees will be addressed at any
international forum.
*Tell your representatives that this sort of underhanded ploy to ignore the
inalienable rights of millions of people just affirms the suspicions of Arabs
and Arab-Americans that the U.S. government has no interest in justice or
peace for the Palestinians. Instead, it appears that our elected officials
only work to promote and protect Israeli interests to the detriment of
Americans.
