CFL ALERT: HONOR RACHEL CORRIE, AN AMERICAN KILLED BY THE IOF, AND BRITISH CITIZEN TOM HURNDALL WHO IS CLINICALLY DEAD AFTER BEING SHOT BY THE IOF.

GO TO http://cflweb.org/congress_merge_.htm. AND SEND A LETTER NOW.

This past year we have witnessed the murder by the Israeli Occupation Forces of American and other international peace activists in the Palestinian territories. Sadly, our government has made no effort to launch an investigation into the murder of Rachel Corrie, an American activist killed by the IOF, and Israel has taken our government’s silence to be tacit approval of its criminal policies in the territories. Please take a moment to honor the memory of Rachel Corrie and to stand in solidarity with the parents of Tom Hurndall, a British citizen who lies clinically dead after being shot by the IOF in Gaza.

TALKING POINTS:

* The murder of Rachel Corrie and shooting of Tom Hurndall are two tragedies among thousands caused by Israel daily. Please ask your representative to take a stand against the crimes being committed in the occupied territories against all people.

* Tell your representatives to pressure the Israelis to stop harming people from around the world who stand side by side with peace-minded Israelis and Palestinians. Tell your representatives that solidarity is not a crime; demand that this administration hold Israel accountable for its crimes.

* Tell your representatives that you expect them to honor the memory of Rachel Corrie by supporting House Concurrent Resolution 111. Tell them that you expect this administration to look into the shooting of Tom Hurndall as well, and that you expect them to condemn the Israeli tactic of blaming the victim: tarnishing the image of Hurndall by accusing him of putting himself in danger by acting irresponsibly. It has been well-documented and established that Hurndall was shot while helping Palestinian children cross a street in Rafah. He was clearly identifiable as an unarmed peace activist by the bright orange jacket he was wearing.
