CFL ALERT: ONCE AGAIN, ISRAEL DESTROYS ALL CHANCES FOR PEACE.
Please take a moment and let the President and your Reps know that you are
following the peace process closely. Israel has violated the ceasefire
hundreds of times without condemnations by the White House. Violence by the
Israelis must not be ignored.
*The suicide bombing that killed 20 Israelis in Jerusalem was appalling, but
just as appalling is the fact that Israel has violated the ceasefire over 500
times.
*Israeli has not adhered to a single principle of the Road Map, in fact the
theft of Palestinian land has accelerated so that Sharon can continue to build
his Apartheid Wall. For the current administration to act as though the
suicide bombing happened independent of any Israeli action is irresponsible
and counterproductive.
*Tell your Reps that you expect the US to put pressure on the Israelis so that
they stop murdering or alienating all Palestinians that are willing to work
towards a just peace in the Middle East.
*Express your resentment over the $9 billion loan guarantees that were just
signed. Your tax dollars should not be sent to oppressive regimes that
continue to deny the freedom and inalienable rights to the Palestinian people.
